Jumbo feed handling

The Trancel jumbo roll transfer device is a rail guided transfer car designed for the transportation of parent rolls of paper within paper mills. The use of a rail guided transfer car offers many advantages in applications where the distance to be traveled is not extreme and there are no turns of tight radius or 180°.

Cost efficient solution
The rail guided transfer car costs considerably less than, both in investment, operation and maintenance that for other types of wagons or trailers.

Simplicity of control
The car is automatically controlled by a simple on-board PLC. The PLC type can be specified by the mill, to ensure operator familiarity and ease of maintenance.  

Continuous operation
The car can be operated on an uninterrupted basis using an ac motor and attached power cable or a dc motor and batteries. The batteries can be exchanged for charging, or charging can occur when the cars are at predetermined locations, such as loading stations.

Complementary to other transfer devices
The rail guided transfer car is well suited for use in applications where gantry cranes would not provide adequate flexibility to meet mill requirements.
